house full of girls

 i always say this

and i believe it to be true:

my mamu manifested a house full of girls

because she grew up in a house where all her siblings were boys.

she says,

growing up--

she had to wear safari suits

because buwa didn't know how to pick girls clothing.

she always dressed me pretty as a kid,

and all of my sisters,

maybe to heal that inner child in her.

we're all girly girls--

and whenever there is some event or family function that everyone has to attend,

our house turns into a 'pride and prejudice' set  of that scene

of all the girls getting ready for a ball.

and my heart sings with happiness

because for most of my childhood/ teenage years, i wasn't a girly girl and i missed out on all these female bonding activities.

but i really actually believe that mamu manifested us to heal her inner child.

i sound crazy but it is a theory.
